Donald Sherman Dye

Donald Sherman Dye, 56, of Monticello, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on December 2, 1968 in San Jose, CA to the late Donald Lee and Levera (Bryant) Dye.

He attended Grace Community Baptist Church. Donald liked Matchbox and Hot Wheel cars, watching golf, especially Tiger Woods and anything Batman or Spider-Man. He loved to paint.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Ella Brickey of Monticello; nephews, Richard Johns, Rodney Johns; niece, Levera Gross; great nephews and nieces, Hunter Flores, Mellisa Johns, Jason Johns, Justin Johns, Trisden (Sam) Gross, Gavin Gross, Braden Johns, Baylee Johns, Braxton Johns; step great nephews, David (Jeanie) Brickey Jr., Darryll Brickey, Evan Brickey; and one great-great nephew on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John and Harry Cobb, infant brother Dye; nephew, David Lee Johns; great nephew, Adam Brickey; brother-in-law, David Brickey.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Pastor John DeKruyter officiating. You may also view the funeral live by visiting: https://webcasts.lifetributes.com/1362084

Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
