David L. Watts

David L. "Tiny"  Watts, 71, of Monticello, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Monticello Healthcare.

He was born on May 26, 1952 in Watseka, IL to the late Ellsworth and Mary Jane (Hedge) Watts.

He grew up in the Milford Christian Church and was a graduate of Milford High School in Milford, IL. Tiny worked as a welder at Monon Trailer, as a mechanic for Gutwein Motors and most recently as a door greeter at Walmart. 

He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge #107 and was a past Noble Grand. He was appointed as Grand Lodge Officer and was a past Riverview I.O.O.F Cemetery trustee.  He was a life long fisherman and avid dog lover.  He also enjoyed archery and competing on his Pool and Dart Leagues.

He is survived by son, David L. Watts, Jr. of Danville, IL; daughter, Jeannette R. Williams of Plano, IL; brother, Dennis Watts of Milford, IL; special friend, Sue Pickett and her family of Monticello; one nephew, three nieces, and one great niece.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Larry and Thomas Watts; sisters, Sandra Watts and Mary Ann ( Porter Kay) Bertram.

Private graveside services and burial will be in Vennum Cemetery, rural Milford, Illinois.

Memorial contributions may be given to Happy Tails or to an animal shelter of the donor's choice .
