David Warren Paluchniak

David Warren Paluchniak, 74, of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on June 16, 1947 in Detroit to the late Joseph Warren and Ruth (Tyson) Paluchniak. On July 1, 1967 he married Jane Cowger at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello and she survives.
Dave was a 1965 graduate of Twin Lakes High School and the served in the Army. He was injured during the Viet Nam War and was a Disabled American Veteran. He spent most of his career in retail grocery working for Thrifty-mart and Wallman's before retiring from Lewis Baking Company as a sales manager in 2007. He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW and Moose Lodge. He had a beautiful outdoor railroad display and collection that many came to see. He collected die cast cars. Dave took great pleasure in gardening and landscaping his yard. Most of all, he loved being with his family.
Surviving along with his wife, Jane of Monticello are his sons, Scott (Stephanie) Paluchniak of Coatesville, IN, Troy (Danielle) Paluchniak of Monticello; sister, Carolyn (Tom) Bessler of Monticello; grandchildren, Parker (Gage) Crisp, Payton Paluchniak, Alex Paluchniak; great granddaughter, Hyatt Crisp.
Private graveside services will take place at Hughes Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society for esophageal cancer research.
