Daniel A. Banks Hentzell, 35, of Monticello died at 10:26 pm, Monday, December 10, 2012 in home of his grandmother, Mary Bechdolt. He was born December 10, 1977 in Batesville, Arkansas. He was a 1996 graduate of Ridgecrest High School in Paragule, Arkansas. He was a member of Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church. He was baptized at the old church and worked during the construction of the new church. During the construction of the new church, he was known as the "Ice Boy" and also helped in the kitchen with meal preparations for the workers. He enjoyed crocheting, making at least 21 afghans for babies and many numerous more for friends and families. He sent 10 afghans to the Alabama flood victims. He also enjoyed horticulture, especially beautiful roses. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He always found creative ways to keep himself busy. He loved everyone he came in contact with, especially babies and the elderly. He is survived by his father, Larry Banks of Van Buren, Arkansas; mother, Martha (Barrett) Hentzell of Noblesville; grandmothers, Mary Bechdoldt of Monticello, Dorothy Banks of Batesville, Arkansas; grandfather, Carl Barrett of Batesville, Arkansas; 4 brothers, Jesse (Candice) Hentzell of Charleston, South Carolina, Jason (Sarah) Hentzell of Indianapolis, Anthony Hentzell of Reynolds, and Brian (Cindy) Hentzell of Chalmers. A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Saturday, December 15, at Christ Fellowship Church located at the former Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church, with Bill Tulley officiating. A time of sharing and a meal will immediately follow at the new Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church located east of Walmart. Memorial contributions may be given to Daniel's grandmother, Mary Bechdoldt, for the purpose of establishing a fund to furnish the nurseries at Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church and Christ Fellowship Church.
