Charles L. 'Chuck' Jenkins

Charles L. "Chuck" Jenkins, 78, of Monticello, passed away at 9:38 am, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Monticello Healthcare. He was born on April 8, 1937 in Danville to the late Leonard and Jessie (Farmer) Jenkins. On July 15, 1972 he married Joyce (Perry) Brady in Monticello and she survives. After high school he served in the United States Marine Corp in Korea and then worked in the automotive industry as a welder retiring from Capitol Products. He was a member of the American Legion in Monticello and a former member of the VFW. He enjoyed camping and fishing and loved his dogs. He is survived by six children, Brenda Murray of Monticello, Doris Walker of Monticello, Joseph (Kathy) Brady of Kingston, TN, Tim Brady of Monticello, Teresa (Duane) Putnam of Logansport, and Terry Jenkins of Delphi; daughter-in-law, Carol Brady of Monticello; two brothers, Lloyd (Beverly) Jenkins of Kokomo, and Jerry (Pearl) Jenkins of Delphi; nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Brady, a sister, Sherry, two grandsons, and one granddaughter. Graveside services will be at Chalmers Cemetery on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Lloyd Jenkins officiating. Military rites will be rendered at the cemetery with Jerry Jenkins playing echo bugle. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church of Monticello
