Carla Louise Nydegger, 67, of Monticello, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 13, 1954 in Lafayette to the late Robert and Anita (Downey) Crumbo. She married Richard "Rick" Nydegger on November 13, 1995 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He survives.
She attended Wainewright High School near Lafayette and worked as a housekeeper. Carla was passionate about her relationship with her Lord, her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her church. She enjoyed songwriting, music, and had a voice of an angel. She was a member of Faith Covenant Fellowship where prior to her illness almost never missed a worship service. Once she was unable to attend services in person, she never missed a streamed service. She was also a member of the Songwriters Association of Mid North Indiana (SAMI). She liked animals and sitting and dining on the beach in Florida.
Along with her husband, Rick she is survived by her daughter, Monica (husband, Benjamin) Rennick of Ormond Beach, FL; granddaughters, Jennifer Rennick (fianc, James Seamans) of Rossville, Jessica (husband, Nick) Ritz of Monticello; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jan (Tom) Knight of West Lafayette, Kathy (Gary) Skiles of Lafayette.
The family will receive visitors from 4pm until 6pm on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Faith Covenant Fellowship. Memorial services celebrating Carla's life will begin at 6pm, Monday at the church with Pastor Darl Clemons officiating.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to Faith Covenant Fellowship or to Happy Tails Animal Control Center. Envelopes will be available at the church.
