Our beloved Briana fell asleep on the night of July 8, 2025, and shortly thereafter, she woke up in the arms of Jesus.
We welcomed Briana to our family on November 10, 1990. What a blessing she has been for 34.5 years.
As a young girl, Briana invited Jesus into her life, and she spent every day loving and ministering to all those she met.
She attended Zion Bethel Church her entire life. She went on mission trips to Chicago, Germany, and the Gambia with her youth group. After returning home from college, she helped lead the K-5 youth program at Zion Bethel. We know her ministry there for all those years has impacted her kids.
As a little girl, Briana loved athletics! She wanted to be a Chicago Bears football player and dressed the part for several years. As she tried to keep up with her brother and sister in admiration, she chose tennis, basketball, and soccer, instead of football! She played on the first ever soccer team at Twin Lakes High School. She graduated from Twin Lakes in 2009.
She chose Ball State University to study Accounting. She was a Resident Advisor for 3 years and graduated in 2013. She immediately went on to get her master’s degree in accounting, earning her way as a Professor’s Assistant in the Business School. She received her master’s degree in accounting in 2014. She then passed all of the CPA exams in 2015.
Briana’s first job was at Lambert and Lanoue Accounting Firm in Monticello, IN. In 2019-present, she joined the accounting team at BraunAbility in Winamac, IN. She truly enjoyed her job, especially the team she worked so closely with.
Second only to serving Jesus, Briana served her family. Her heart was filled with spending time with her niece and four nephews. They brought her more joy, and she them, than anyone could ever ask for. Each of them will carry on her legacy because of all she invested in them!
She is survived by her parents, Richard "Rick" and Sharon (Knauer) Roach of Monticello, sister, Courtney (Kyle) Dyer of Monticello; brother, Richard (Stephanie) Roach of Monticello; aunts and uncles, Robin (John) Gilley, Raegan (Whitney) Kaler, Bob Knauer, Ron Knauer; nephews and niece, Braxton, Barrick, Bodie Dyer, Ezra, Elyse Roach; many cousins, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ralph and Ruth Knauer; paternal grandparents, Richard "Dick" and Gretchen Roach.
“We’ll meet you in heaven” Briana! (A quote on her great, great, great grandfather’s tombstone).
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 am Monday at Zion Bethel Church with Pastor Jeff Messer officiating.
Briana's Celebration of Life service will also be live-streamed from her Facebook profile on Monday at 11 for those who would like to celebrate her but cannot attend.
Memorial contributions may be given to Zion Bethel Church with the memo "Youth Programs". Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
