Bonnie K. Culp, 71, of Remington, formally of Monticello passed away at 6:45 pm, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Monticello Healthcare. She was born on June 7, 1943 in Lafayette to the late Joseph and Dortha (Mason) Lee. After their passing, she was adopted by her Aunt Adeline and Uncle Harvey Lee, also deceased. On May 1, 1982 she married Bill Culp at the Bell Center Church and he survives. She graduated from Rossville High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing as an Operating Room Technician. Bonnie worked at Culp Real Estate for a number of years and worked part time at different nursing homes in Monticello and Rensselaer. She was the Executive Director at Lakeview Commons until her retirement in 2011. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and a member of Gettingsville Presbyterian Church in Gettingsville, IN. She is survived by her children, Kim (Jay) Parrish of Indiana, Melissa (John) Speer of Remington, Larry (Deb) Culp of Monticello, Trudy (Brad) Forkner of Cherry, IL, Gary Culp of Monticello, and Amy (Steve) Kiefer of Bremen; her siblings, Larry Lee, Linda Draper, and Norman (Barb) Lee; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Phil Lee. Friends may call one hour prior to the memorial service at 11:00 am Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Rev. Thomas Albaum of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello will officiate. Memorial contributions may be given to Serenity Hospice of Lafayette with envelopes available at the funeral home.
