Billy G. Kelsey, 77, of Monticello, passed away at 5:00 pm, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.He was born on October 8, 1940 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Area Brooks and Freida (Pollard) Kelsey. On October 18, 1997 he married the former Teresa (Wilkins) Culp from Monticello and she survives. Billy was a member of Calvary Temple Church and he sang in the choir. He worked for RCA for fifteen years, Winamac Steel, Monon Trailer, and then retired from CDC Resources, Inc. Most recently, Billy worked part time at Burger King and as a Twin Lakes School crossing guard. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He was a hard worker and enjoyed taking care of the lawn and home. Billy was a man of faith and loved the Lord and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.In addition to his wife, Teresa, he is survived by his children, Sara Jo (Dan) Hillenberg of Logansport, Jim (Claire) Kyle of Watseka, IL, Wayne Kyle, Angela (John) Dekruyter of Acton, Philip Culp of Cloverdale, Joe (Katelyn) Culp of Monticello; siblings, Lee (Betty) Kelsey of Tennessee, Robin Lewis of Missouri; and many grandchildren.He was also preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Kelsey.Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, December 8, 2017 at Calvary Temple located at 1216 West Broadway St. Visitation will also be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday at the Calvary Temple with Pastor Charlie Roberts officiating.Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to CDC Resources, Inc. or to Calvary Temple with envelopes available at the church.Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello is entrusted with care.Messages condolence may be extended at www.springerfuneralhome.com
