Betty Wooldridge

Betty Kiser Wooldridge, 96, of Monticello, passed away  Monday morning, October 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving children. 

She was born on October 19, 1926, in White County to the late Vance and Daisy (Burris) Kiser. On February 18, 1948, she married Wesley Wooldridge. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1994.

Betty was a graduate of Monon High School. She attended Monon United Methodist church. She and her husband, Wesley, farmed together.  Following Wesley's death, Betty worked at Indiana Beach for more than 30 years.  She enjoyed the young people and doting on them with her baked goods.  Betty enjoyed reading and made the 100 club at the Monon Library many times. She enjoyed going to the casino and keeping in touch with her friends on Facebook. Betty loved spending time with her family. She managed life with grace and loved deeply and unconditionally. 

She is survived by daughter, Mary McLaughlin (spouse, Lori McClintic) of Carmel; a son, Terry (spouse, Tammy) Wooldridge of Star City; sister, Mildred White; six grandchildren, Anna McLaughlin, Kate McLaughlin, David Wooldridge, Emma Wooldridge, Auston (Yalitza) Elliott and Juston Hughes; five great grandchildren, Leila, Abby, Leo, Yarel and A.J..

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Wooldridge; son, David Dean Wooldridge; five brothers, Don, Wayne, Keith, Jack, and Tom Kiser; and one sister, Judy Leach.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of funeral service celebrating Betty's life at 1:00 pm at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.  Rev. Brian Beeks will officiate services.

Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monticello.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Monon Library.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
