Betty Rose Ruemler, 90, of Buffalo, IN passed away on December 28, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee.
She was born on March 26, 1931 in Madison, WI to the late Walter and Reva (O'Connor) Klagos. On May 1, 1954 she married Howard Ruemler and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2012.
Betty graduated from high school in Wisconsin and attended Business College in Minnesota. She worked as an inside salesperson for Kaiser Aluminum.
After Howard and Betty retired, they traveled regularly to Florida, loving life and feeling so blessed. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds and attended Concordia Lutheran Church in Greenwood. She enjoyed puzzles and learned to crochet. She enjoyed cooking. She eagerly offered cooking advice to her care giver while staying at her son's home in White House, TN.
She is survived by two children, Randy Walter Ruemler of White House, TN and Debra L. Lavoy of Indianapolis, IN; grandsons, David Gibson of Chicago, IL, Curtis Howard Reed of Nashville, TN, James, and Christopher Kozlovsky of WI; granddaughters, Dawn Gibson of Cedar Lake, IN and Dana Lindberg of Superior, WI; and her fur baby, Sadie "Fat So".
In addition to her husband, Howard and parents, she was also preceded in death by daughters, Diana Lindberg and Susan Kozlovsky; granddaughter, Jayme Rebecca Reed; and grandson, Jeffrey Kozlovsky; sisters, Dorothy and Elaine.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm (EST), Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Funeral services celebrating Betty's life will be at 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Andrew Keller of the St James Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Reynolds.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Community Foundation of White County with the memo specifying White County Animal Wellness Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
