Betty June Lowe, 83, of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Legacy, White Oak Health Campus in Monticello.She was born on June 27, 1934 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Clarence Nye and Grace (Goins) Davis. Her first marriage was to Richard W. Bertram, he preceded her in death on October 7, 2011. Her second marriage was to James R. Lowe, he preceded her in death on March 17, 2003. Betty was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Monticello, where she served as treasurer and helped make braille bibles. She worked as a secretary at White County Memorial Hospital. Betty also prepared tax forms at H&R Block and Wynn B. Gilbert Public Accounting Firm in Monticello. Betty loved gardening and all kinds of yard work. She loved her family and spending time with them. She is survived by her children, Lisa M. (Roger) Wandrei of Monticello, Rodger W. (Donna) Bertram of Monticello, Jill D. (Tom) Herr of Chalmers and Jack D. Bertram of Monticello; eight grandchildren, Jason (Mandy) Wandrei, Alexia (AJ) Greathouse, Misty (Michael Hughes) Bertram, Rhett (Beth) Bertram, Lauren Bertram, Chase Bertram, Gina Shadbolt and Carla (Brad) Conreux; and twelve great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor John Gore officiating.Burial will follow at the Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery in rural Monticello.Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
