Barbara K. Jensen

Barbara K. Jensen, 77, of Monticello, died at 7:41 am, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Monticello Heallthcare. She was born on July 21, 1936 in Watseka, IL to the late Harry Eugene and Dicie Loreta (Bookless) Watts. On December 11, 1953, in Goodland, she married Charles Jensen, and he preceded her in death May 4, 2000. She had worked at RCA in Monticello and later in the Deli at Kroger from which she retired. She attended Faith Pentecostal Chapel. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, reading, and time spent with her family. She is survived by her children, Paulette Upton (companion, Bill Benow), Andrea Collinsworth, Penny Scott, and Kenny Jensen all of Monticello; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Watts. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm Monday, July 7, 2014 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Pastor Joe David Wampler of Faith Pentecostal Chapel officiating. Burial will follow at Goodland Cemetery, Goodland. Memorial contributions may be given to White County Council on Aging. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
