Barbara Ann Alexander

Barbara Alexander 81, formerly of Star City, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at Denton Regional Medical Center in Denton, Texas. She was born on September 14, 1930 in Rensselaer to the late Marian Elnora Reed and Paul Amos Overton. After a 23 year marriage to William Bill Thompson of Star City, she married Robert H. Alexander on June 23, 1989 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. Surviving family members include: Daughter Linda (Thompson) Bowsher of Celina, Texas; granddaughters Lesley (David) Evans of Tioga, Texas and Jamie Bowsher of Madison, Alabama; 2 great-grandsons, Cooper Evans and Skeet Evans both of Tioga, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial and committal services will be held at Hughes Cemetery, Monticello on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 1:00 PM. A memorial service was held in her honor on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Lake Forest Good Samaritan Mead Chapel in Denton, Texas with Reverand Lynda Schupp officiating.
