Ann Tassio

Ann Lorene Tassio, 62, of Monticello, passed away at her residence, at 10:15 am, Wednesday, November 30, 2016.She was born on September 24, 1954 in Litchfield, IL to the late Jack C. and Lorene (Fischvogt) Workinger. Her marriage was Michael Tassio and he preceded her in death August 13, 2001. After Michael's death she met her life companion, Thomas Cassell and he survives. Ann received her Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of South Florida in Education. She devoted her entire career as a Special Education Teacher for 33 and 1/2 years in Sarasota County, Florida from which she retired.She enjoyed golf, swimming and boating, anything elephant, traveling, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. Above all else, she adored her four grandchildren and cherished time spent with her family.Also surviving are her daughters, Corin (Andrew) Rowley of West Lafayette, Tiffany (Jason) Carnes of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Tim Workinger (spouse, Rob Brundage) of Sarasota, FL; sisters, Jill (spouse, Don) Page of Charlotte, NC, Marca (spouse, Joe) Angelo of Florida; grandchildren, Ashtyn and Gabriel Rowley, and Carson and Christian Carnes.Services celebrating Ann's life will be in Florida at a later date.
