Ann Marilyn Jasek

Ann Marilyn Jasek, 94 of Monticello passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2025 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital.

She was born on December 26, 1930 in Oshkosh, WI to the late Arthur and Elanor (Rheaume) Schmidt. Her marriage was to Thaddeus Jasek and he preceded her in death. 

Ann was a certified baby nurse before marriage. She was a homemaker until her children graduated and then went to work for Travelers Insurance as an underwriter from which she retired. She was a member of the Buffalo Christian Church where she lead women's Bible Study until her eyesight failed. She enjoyed sewing, reading, crafting, gardening, swimming and being outdoors.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Tyus of Monticello; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Mick of Omaha, NE.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thaddeus; son Mark and infant son, Stanley; and brother, Arthur Schmidt.

Graveside memorial services will be at 11 am on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Bedford Cemetery with Harold Rutledge officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to Buffalo Christian Church or to a charity of the donor's wishes.
