Ann Britton Dilley, 85, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, formerly of Monticello passed away at 3:20 pm, Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring, Florida.She was born on June 26, 1930 in Chicago to the late Edward and Mary (Cossar) Stempel. She married Howard Britton on May 27, 1949 in Monticello and he preceded her in death. On October 7, 1997 she married Paul Dilley in Sequim, WA. He survives in Gilbertsville, KY.Ann was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church. Ann was a graduate of Brookston High School and was primarily a homemaker. She also worked at the Abstract Company in Monticello. Ann's family owned a farm on the South side of Monticello since 1827. She enjoyed oil painting and traveling with both husbands. Ann loved to play Solitaire and 7 Card Stud. She also enjoyed putting 1000 piece puzzles together. Ann loved a good bowl of popcorn, a mug of root beer and a dark chocolate Hershey Bar. Her favorite television show was NCIS. She was a wonderful person and will always be cherished by her family. Ann enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Steven (Karen) Britton of Muskegon, MI, Gail (Steven) Douglas of Shirley, and Bill Britton of Monticello; stepchildren, Gregory Paul Dilley of Everett, WA, Debi (Rob) Robertson of Ocala, FL, and David Ryan (Deanna) Dilley of Raleigh, NC; sisters, Patricia (Richard) Guthrie of TN and Jane (John) Ryba of Cass, MI; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by a grandson.Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1pm ,Friday, May 27, 2016 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.Funeral services celebrating Ann's life will be at 1pm, Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Beeks of the Monticello United Methodist Church officiating.Private burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello United Methodist Church to benefit Soup for the Soul.
