Alma L. Hancock, 73, of Monticello passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at White Oak Health Campus.

She was the daughter of the late Gordon and Della Dane (Whitlock) Strader.  She was one of four children including brothers, Boyce and Robert, and a sister, Della Mae.

She was a woman of strong faith and attended the Delphi Assembly of God Church before her health declined.  She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed collecting figurines of owls and pigs, watching television, fast food, and playing skee ball at Indiana Beach before her health declined.  Her favorite holidays were Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  She looked forward to the holiday dinners and her favorite food, mashed potatoes!  She most especially loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Roach; granddaughter, Ulairii Brooks of Fowler; a grandson; and great grandchildren, Sophia, Mayzie, and Luna.

Funeral services celebrating Alma’s life will be at 6pm, Monday, October 30th at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the hour of services with Pastor Ryan Forgey of the Delphi Assembly of God Church officiating.

Private burial will be in Dayton Cemetery.
