A. Kathryn "Katie" Krintz, 85, of Zellwood, Florida formerly of Monticello, passed away on, Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in Ponte Vedra, Florida at the home of her sister. 
 
She was born on January 29, 1938 in Wolcott to the late Van T. and Lucille (Johnson) Owens. On September 22, 1957 she married Ernest Richard (Dick) Krintz in Wolcott. He preceded her in death March 31, 2014.
 
Katie was a 1956 graduate of Wolcott High School. She worked as a secretary for Farm Credit Services, from which she retired.  Katie was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church, where she was involved in the Circle of Faith. She was also a member of Merri Mixers Home Ec Club, Calico Cut-Ups Quilt Club. Katie enjoyed golf, quilting and rose gardening. In her early years she made wedding cakes and provided babysitting for her friends and family. She cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  
 
Surviving are her sons, Stanley R. Krintz (husband, Terry Cummings) of Zellwood, Florida, Stewart B. Krintz (companion, Joyce Haygood) of Wolcott, and Douglas W. (wife, Penny) Krintz of Chalmers; sister, Barbara Howland of Ponte Vedra, Florida and brother, Larry (wife, Betty) Owens of Otterbein; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. 
 
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, David K. Krintz. 
 
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
 
Funeral services celebrating Katie's life will be at 10:30 am Thursday at the Monticello United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Beeks officiating.
 
Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monticello. 
 
Memorial contributions may be given to the United Way Twin Lakes Snack Shack with memo: Katie Krintz.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
