Thomas L. Pilotte

Thomas L. Pilotte, 66, of Monticello, passed away at 3:22 pm, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at I.U. Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born on July 19, 1948 in Lafayette to the late Kenneth J. and Rose H. (Sherer) Pilotte. On March 7, 1970 he married Cindy Lawson who survives. They recently celebrated their 45th anniversary. He was a graduate of Fowler High School and served in the Army National Guard. Tom was a farmer and enjoyed raising beef cattle. He was a member of the American Legion at Earl Park, IN, Redmens Lodge of Monticello, and a lifetime member of the AmVets in Monticello. He had served as a past board member of Peoples Feedmill of Wolcott. He was an avid fan of cubs baseball, Chicago Bears and I.U. Basketball. Tom especially cherished time spent with his family and grandchildren. He is also survived by his son, Brian (Rachel) Pilotte of Wolcott; brother, Duane (Roberta) Pilotte of Wolcott; grandchildren, Anna, Blake, and Cole: and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm (EDT) until 8:00 pm (EDT) Monday, April 6, 2015 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. The Rosary will be prayed at 2:45 pm (EDT), Monday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am (EDT), Tuesday at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello with Fr. David Rasner officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network at www.foodallergy.org or Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available.
