Richard M. "Dick" Fisher 83, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Dick was born on April 30, 1935 in Tipton, Indiana to Nina (McLeland) Fisher. On December 1, 1956 he married the love of his life, Patricia Jean Schoon.
Dick was a graduate of Tipton High School and proudly received his Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. Dick was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a 2nd lieutenant. Following he worked for TRW, retiring after 30 years of service.
Surviving is his daughter Debbie (Grant )McKinley of Hilton Head, South Carolina and son John (Angela) Fisher of Northridge, California; brother Garry (Brenda) Fisher of Cicero, Indiana; brother-in-law William (Vicky) Schoon of Land O Lakes, Florida; eight grandchildren Gwen, Brandon, Andrea, Grant II, Camden, Jay, Jack, and Nick; also four great-grandchildren Emily, Sophie Belle, Isla, and Auria.
He is preceded in death by his mother Nina (McLeland) Fisher, and his wife Patricia Jean (Schoon) Fisher, and an infant brother.
Dick and his late wife Pat, retired and moved to San Antonio, Florida in 2001. Dick loved to golf and was a member of the Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club where they lived. He was also an active member of Idlewild Baptist Church of Lutz, Florida. Above all, he enjoyed and cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at the funeral home with the Rev. Chris Dodson of Monticello Christian Church officiating.
Burial will follow at the Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monticello, Indiana.
