Richard E. Burton, 77, of Monticello, passed away at 10:50 am, Monday, May 16, 2016 at Monticello Healthcare.He was born on June 3, 1938 in Colfax, IL to the late George E. and Vanza (Huff) Burton.He graduated from High School in Paxton, IL and worked in the automotive industry as a mechanic. He was a member of Attica Lodge #462 F & AM. Richard enjoyed fishing.He is survived by his 3 children, Roger A. (wife, Sandy) Burton of Hoopeston, IL, Cynthia F. (wife, Julie) Ewart of Marion, Richard C. Burton (fiance', Michelle Martin) of Linden; 2 brothers, Robert G. (wife, Carolyn) Burton of Paxton, IL and Roger L. (wife, Hea Gin) Burton of Urbana, IL; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
