Opal V. Alma, 87, died on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. She was born September 17, 1923 in White County to the late Otto F. and Clara G. (Rex) McCloud. Her marriage was to Charles"Chuck" V. Alma on May 18, 1940 in White County. He survives in Monticello. Mrs. Alma was a member of Sitka Baptist Church. She was a cook at Buffalo School for seven years. Mrs. Alma was a secretary for Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery from 1974 to 2007. She is also survived by 3 Sons, Lawrence (Lillian) Alma of Arvada, CO, Jerry (Joan) Alma of Monticello, Warren (Connie) Alma of Montpelier; Daughter, Brenda Sorrell of Whitestown; Sister, Letha B. Swartz of Monticello; Survived by Several Granchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great great grandchildren She was preceded in death by an infant son, Dwayne Alma; brother, Ronald McCloud; sister, Beula Hanna Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm, Monday, September 19, 2011 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 10:30am with Rev. Chris Murphy officiating. Burial will take place at Buffalo cemetery.
