Margaret A. Heiny, 95, of Monticello , died at 1:30 pm, Sunday, March 25, 2012 at IU White Memorial Hospital of Monticello. She was born May 20, 1916 in Harrison Township located in Cass County near Lucerne to the late William W. and Mary A. (Hoffman) Miller. Her marriage was to Dudley R Heiny on May 28, 1938 in Burnettsville in the parsonage home of Rev. Graham. He preceded her in death November 25, 1952. She grew up on a farm near Royal Center and was raised by very loving and devout Christian parents. She was baptized in Crooked Creek. When she was young, she and her brother sang and recited poetry in the Crooked Creek Church near Royal Center . She later sang at weddings when requested. She was a 1934 graduate of Royal Center High School . After her marriage, she moved to the farm in Cass Township in White County . In 1953, she moved to Monticello when she started working at State and Savings Bank from which she retired. She worked as a bookkeeper and also as a teller at the bank. She was a Member of the Monticello United Methodist Church . She liked Reggie Miller and Bobby Knight. She enjoyed basketball, the Cubs, and watching golf. When she was younger, she enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and quilting. She also enjoyed making shell jewelry while in Florida . Mostly she loved to talk and visit. Above all, she cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and her dog Libby. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jo Pool of Monticello , June McCutchan of Monticello , son, C. W. "Bill" Heiny of Chalmers; eight grandchildren, Gina (Greg) Spence, Jill (Jeff) Guingrich, Rod Pool (Fianc Lexi), Brad (Nita) Pool, Pat (Janet) Pool, Susan (Mike) Hall, Tami Helms (Fianc Brian), Tonya (Jason) Pritts; fifteen great grandchildren; and nine great- great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother Earl "Bud" Miller; and a grandson J.J. McCutchan. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm, Wednesday, March 28 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. F unreal services will be at 1:30 pm, Thursday at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, with Rev. Brian Beeks of the Monticello United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Idaville Cemetery . Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello United Methodist Church Television Ministry. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
