Lyle E. Ziemer

Lyle E. Ziemer, 85, of Monticello died at 10:32 pm, Monday, January 3, 2011, at White County Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 6, 1925 at Douglas County, Illinois to the late Harry and Emma (Kruse) Ziemer.
His first marriage was to Donnadean Westfall. She preceded him in death. His second marriage was to the former Martha Jacks, and she also preceded him in death.
Lyle was a graduate of Medaryville High School. He worked for White County Farm Bureau until his retirement. He was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church of Winamac.
He is survived by sons, John (Vera) Ziemer of Chula Vista, California, David Ziemer of Monticello; daughter, Janet (Don) Wiley of Monticello; sisters, Morna (Delos) Pass of Monon, Jean (Wayne) Wienky of Conway, South Carolina; brothers, Art Ziemer of Chesterton, Indiana, Ray (Shirley) Ziemer of Monticello; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm, Thursday, January 6 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home and also one hour prior to services at the church Friday.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday, at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Winamac with Pastor Tom Woodley officiating.
Burial will be at 3 pm, Friday at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds.
Memorial contributions may be given to White County Memorial Hospital, St. Lukes Lutheran Church, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
