E. Louise Chadd, 80, of Monticello, passed away at 8:35 pm, Monday, February 3, 2014 at Franciscan Health St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette. She was born on April 25, 1933 in Logansport to the late Cecil Clay and Ora D. (Overly) Chadd. Louise lived on the family farm south of Monticello, which she was proud of, her entire life. Miss Chadd was a member of Faith Pentecostal Chapel where she taught both Sunday School and children's church until 1991. She was a housekeeper for over 50 years, retiring in 2005. She cleaned houses, an office, a bed and breakfast, and the Monticello United Methodist Church. She loved playing the paino and singing at church. She enjoyed doing latch hook, embroidery, crocheting and needle craft work. Louise enjoyed cooking and always liked trying new recipes. She was known for her carrot cake. She was an animal lover, especially a lover of cats and dogs. She once tamed a chicken and named him Whitey, and when she called Whitey the chicken would come. She also loved vegetable and flower gardening. She is survived by a brother, Charles (wife, Judy) Chadd of Monticello; three nieces; and two nephews. She was also preceded in death by a niece. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of services at 1 pm, Friday, February 7, 2014 at Faith Pentecostal Chapel with Pastor Joe David Wampler officiating. The church is located at 322 West Jefferson St., Monticello, Indiana Due to weather conditions, private burial for family and pallbearers will follow at Yeoman Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Pentecostal Chapel. Envelopes will be available at the Church.
