Joan Marie Nash

Joan Marie Nash, 83, of Brookston, passed away at 4:23pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.She was born on May 16, 1934 in Marine City, Michigan to the late Bernard Alvin and Mizpah Lois (Doty) Ward. On February 4, 1956 she married Robert L. Nash in Yuma, Arizona. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2018.Joan was a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. She enjoyed listening to music, crafts, cooking, sewing, crocheting, nature, flower gardening and dancing. She is survived by her children Deborah L. Buettgenbach of Brookston and Robert M. (Pam) Nash of Battle Ground; a brother, Bernard (Shirley) Ward of Michigan; six grandchildren, William (Katie), Karri, Jake (Amanda), Ryan (Laurie), Rex (Hana), and Kelly; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Gwen, Mika, Bane, Ross, Elizabeth, Jack, Kathy, Zoey, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Lorelei, Margot, Zach, Bradon, and Ian.She was also preceded in death by her son, Gary G. Nash and three sisters.Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1pm celebrating Joan's life on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Pastor Sue Ringenbach officiating.Burial will follow in Yeoman Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello United Methodist Soup for the Soul.
