George F. Foulks

George F. Foulks, 65, of Monticello died at 3:52 am, Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his residence. He was born September 22, 1945 in Lafayette to the late Richard W. and Violet O. (Oakman) Foulks. He married the former Mary Ruemler on November 28, 1980, the Friday after Thanksgiving, at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, and she survives. He was a 1963 graduate of Reynolds High School. He lived in the Monticello area all of his life. He served in the National Guard. He was retired machine operator from McGill Manufacturing in Monticello and had begun working at WalMart because he was bored. He was a member of the AmVets, Redmens Lodge both of Monticello, and also bowled on the Monticello Bowling League. He enjoyed fishing and golf. He always looked forward to his fishing trips. He also enjoyed Louis L'Amour western books, Purdue Sports, and a good practical joke. Also surviving are two sons, Chris Foulks of Monticello, Richard Foulks of Washington State; two stepsons, Douglas (Yane) Frampton of Jacksonville , Florida, Kevin (Natalie) Frampton of Skokie, Illinois; two brothers, Bill (Beverly) Foulks of Reynolds, Bob (Melinda) Foulks of Monticello; and nine grandchildren, Jacob Foulks, Travis Foulks, Derek DeWitt, Connor Frampton, Brittany Foulks, Amber Foulks, Brandi Brinkman, Julia Frampton, and Lauren Frampton. Visitation will be from 4pm until 7pm, Friday, July 29 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. All services are casual dress. Military rites will be at 7pm, Friday at the funeral home, with the funeral service immediately following. Pastor, Jeff Scheffee will officiate.
