Fannie M. Schauer

Fannie M. Schauer, 93, of Monticello, passed away at 5:10 am, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Lakeview Village.
She was born on April 23, 1925 in Haywood County, North Carolina to the late James and Barbara (Allison) Rathbone. On November 21, 1942 she married Frank J. Schauer in Monticello and he preceded her in death November 27, 2008.
Fannie was primarily a homemaker but she did work a stint at Bryan's Manufacturing and Better Coil and Transformer in Goodland. She was very proud of the eleven years she worked for the former Monticello Nursing Home, which was the first nursing home in White County, where Help You Buy is currently located.
Surviving are her sons, Jim (Nora) Schauer of Menifee, CA, Tom (Terry) Schauer of Sheridan, and Charles (Jeanne) Schauer of Idaville; five grandchildren; one step-grandchild; nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren..
She was also preceded in death by her son, Dave Schauer; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home on Wednesday February 20, 2019 from 11 am until the time of funeral services celebrating Fannie's life at 1pm with Rev. Keith Raderstorf officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monticello.
