Earl L. Kendall, 82, of Avon, passed away at 7:10 pm, Monday, August 27, 2018 at Avon Health and Rehabilitation Center.He was born on February 4, 1936 in White County to the late Lawrence and Dorothy (DeMoss) Kendall. In 1967 he married Carole Lee Workinger. She preceded him in death on June 25, 1969.He was a member of Wolcott Christian Church where he had been a deacon.Earl was a graduate of Wolcott High School and worked at RCA as the Mill Room supervisor for 28 years followed by 28 years at Tri-County Schools as a maintenance man and finally a bus driver before he retired at the age of 75. He enjoyed going to breakfast, good humor and being around people. He loved being on his patio and watching life go by and especially looked forward to the July 4th Wolcott Festival and the carnival in his back yard. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.Surviving are two sons, Mark Kendall of Longmont, CO, Mike (Cindy) Kendall of Indianapolis; sister, Elizabeth (Earl) Anliker of Winamac; and two grandchildren, Kendra and Madelynn.Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Monday, September 3, 2018 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Bennett of the Wolcott Christian Church officiating.Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery.The family encourages memorial contributions be given to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.Online condolences may be extended at www.springerfuneralhome.com
