Doris R. Davis, 90, of Burnettsville, passed at 4:35 pm, Friday, January 24, 2020 at St. Anthony Healthcare in Lafayette.
She was born on October 29, 1929 in Carroll County to the late Ardis and Grace (Cree) Landes. On July 3, 1947 she married Clyde Davis in Burnettsville and he preceded her in death September 26, 2004.
Doris was a graduate of Adams Township High School and was primarily a homemaker. She worked many years at the Monticello bakeries.
Doris was a faithful member of the Burnettsville Christian Church where she served as the church pianist, church treasurer, and was involved with the ladies fellowship. She loved reading her Bible and her daily devotional.
She was a fan of I.U. Basketball and the Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed sewing, playing the piano and Scrabble.
Surviving are her children, Keith (Nancy) Davis of Monticello, Cary (Terri) Davis of Monticello, Carol (Keith) Graham of La Crosse, WI, Kay (Paul) Finley of Warsaw; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Geraldine Landes of Logansport; and brother-in-law, Don Huff of Battle Ground.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Landes; and sisters, Betty Huff and Dorothy Broughton.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Funeral services celebrating Doris' life will be at 10:00 am Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Rich McQuinn of the Burnettsville Christian Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to the Burnettsville Christian Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
